Roulette was invented by a French mathematician named Blaise Pascal. Gamblers know Pascal as the inventor of roulette, but he is most well known for developing the theory of probability. Blaise was born in 1623 in Clermont, France. When he was 16 years old, Blaise came up with a theory for projecting numbers that impressed all the leading mathematicians of Paris. Blaise was not only a mathematician but he was also an inventor.

The theory eventually became known as the theory of probability. Pascal developed this theory while solving a problem posed by a French mathematician named Chevalier De Mere. The scenario was that two players had to end a game before it was finished even though one player was clearly ahead. The problem was dividing the stakes fairly while considering odds of each player eventually winning the game. It would be unfair to penalize the player who was ahead by dividing the pot evenly. It would also be unfair to give the entire pot to the player who is ahead at the time, because his victory is not certain. Pascal devised a formula for determining the probability that each player would win if the game had been played to its conclusion. The theory of probability is used in all facets of life today.

Blaise Pascal also attempted to make a perpetual motion machine. His experiments failed to produce perpetual motion, but in turn did produce the Roulette wheel. While the Roulette wheel cannot spin on forever it owes its roots to Pascal.

Online casino Roulette has a wheel with numbered slots and outside colors just like on a traditional roulette wheel. The slots are numbered 0 to 36 in traditional roulette and 00 through 36 in the American version. The American version is played the same as European Roulette only the odds are not as good for player because of the extra slot. The outside of the roulette board is colored in bars of red and black. A metal ball is spun in the wheel and continues to circulate the wheel until it comes to a stop within a slot. In online Roulette you can bet on a single number or multiple numbers. This is called an inside bet. An outside bet is when you bet on either the color red or black. In roulette you can also bet on odd or even or high or low numbers.

Online gambling The game of roulette starts with the spinning of the ball in the roulette wheel. The wheel rotates in one direction and the ball rotates in the opposite direction. The ball spins inside the wheel until it comes to rest in one of the slots. If the ball lands on your number or color, you win. The game pays $36 for every $1 bet. There are no bad bets as each number or color pays at the same rate. The houses only advantage is the zero or double zero. If there were no zeros on the wheel and roulette still paid 36 to 1 it would be an even money game.

Gambling with money has been one of the favorite activities of humans. With the use of technology, a gambler can now play roulette for money without stepping out of his/her own home. Online gambling has become hugely popular both from the perspective of gamblers and casino operators. The gambler can now choose to play discreetly whereas the casino operators need not to incur a huge investment cost for building a brick and mortar casino. Moreover, online gambling offers a huge amount of flexibility and allows customization of the gaming atmosphere which would not be possible in a brick and mortar casino. Choosing to play online does not rob away the advantages available in the conventional casinos. Almost all games that are available in a brick and mortar casino can also be played over online and the game of Roulette is no exception to this.

Roulette was designed by a French mathematician and has been around for over 200 years without any significant loss in interest. Roulette is probably the first game that a gambler starts with and online casino gambling is no different. As in the real world, Roulette commands a very high popularity among both the new and experienced gamblers in the virtual world. Gamblers can play roulette for money or just for fun. Most gamblers start to play roulette online without involving real money to get a feel of the game and understand the various intricacies of the game. Once they are more comfortable with how roulette works most peopl tend to play roulette for money.

Playing roulette online is more interesting than a real world roulette game because the online version does not have any of those physical parts. This allows the casino operator to offer cash bonus incentives to play roulette for money in their establishment. This creates competition and is a win, win situation for the casino players.

Online roulette can be played in two ways. One involves downloading and installing software onto the gamblers computer whereas the other one is web based and does not involve any downloading. Among the two, the download version is more popular than the web based playing primarily due to the rich multimedia features including feature rich graphics and audio. Most of the online casino operators offer various kinds of bonus as part of their promotional strategy when players play roulette for money. This could be various sign up bonuses, welcome bonuses, free spin bonuses and cash match deposit bonuses.

he history of roulette is in itself vague and uncertain. With so many myths and legends intertwined with fantasy-like stories, there is no real way to find out how exactly the game was created. Keeping this in mind, even though the invention of the game is uncertain, it is normally attributed to the French mathematician and philosopher, Blaise Pascal. In the 17th century, Pascal was known for his fascination with perpetual motion and some say this fascination of his led to the invention of the first real Roulette table.

In French, the term ‘roulette’ means ‘small wheels’. In all probabilities, roulette was possibly invented by Pascal in the 17th century and by the early 18th century, there were already a few more versions of the game that were being played in England. However, it wasn’t until the mid 19th century that Roulettes French connection was created.

In the year 1842, two French gentlemen Louis and François Blanc invented the first real modern roulette table. This invention consisted of single zero tables that are used till date. However, at this time gambling was considered to be an illegal activity in France. So, the Blanc brothers introduced this game to all the gambling halls all over Europe and the United States. Hereafter, roulette rapidly gained devoted followers and has eve since, become one of the most popular table gambling games in the New World. In those days, the game was played a lot by royalty and the game was soon nick named the ‘King (or by some, the Queen) of all casino games!

Internet Roulette

With the passing of years, gambling has now moved to a whole new level in terms of popularity, and roulette has steadfastly marched along with it. With the advent of the Internet and online gaming, roulette has now reached its peak. Roulette, particularly French roulette, which was previously considered the game for the rich, has now become accessible to all and sundry. Even though it is still considered to be the king of all casino games, roulette is no longer only for royalty. This however, has made roulette even more popular and people from all over the world flock towards gambling halls to try their hands at the game.

Since its inception, roulette, along with its exceptionally humble beginnings, has gone through very little changes. What with the new developments and advancements in technology, roulette is just a click of a mouse away from you.

The history of roulette has spread over three centuries. From its beginning as the project of a famous mathematician till date, roulette is by and large the most popular casino game today. It is very unlikely that the popularity of this game will ever die.

The word “Roulette” in French means a “small wheel”.The word “Roulette” in French means a Roulette is considered to be the most popular game of chance in the world. The exact history regarding the game of Roulette is unknown though there are theories. One such theory was that the game was invented in China and was brought to Europe by Dominican monks who in those days were trading with the Chinese. The second theory states that a man named Blaise Pascal, a 17th Century French mathematician, invented the game. After the basic elements of the game were devised by the French math scholar Pascal, there were no further substantive changes in the rules until some two hundred years later when the Blanc Brothers added a zero to Pascal’s wheel.

There are two versions of the Roulette Casino Game. One is the single “0″ Roulette game which is known as the European Roulette. The European Roulette was developed in 1842 by Frenchmen Francois and Louis Blanc. Once again, there were no alterations to the rules until the game was exported to the United States at the beginning of the 19th Century, where the Americans added a second zero to the board. Roulette hit America in the early 1800s, but they removed the double “00″ version which resulted into theAmerican Roulette.

Online Roulette first made its appearance on the Internet in the mid-1990s. The online version of roulette is equally popular among online players as it is in land-based casinos. The online casino Roulette is one of the most widely played online casino games. Several people who had not tried playing Roulette earlier started playing online Roulette which was because of its increased accessibility, and also because of the decision of the online casinos of lowering the betting minimums, which did provide a totally different strategy as compared to the land-based casinos. Hence, more online players were encouraged to try their luck at Roulette. Online Roulette features in one or the other form at most of the online casinos today.

Mobile roulette was developed in the 21st century. This is the latest development in the classic casino game. There are two versions of the game, and the online Roulette rules will reflect either the European version or the American version of the game. The online Roulette rules have remained the same since the game’s implementation onto the World Wide Web. Different types of Roulette games have developed over the years and these are also featured at the online casino.

Over the years, there have been many attempts to find out ways to enhance the odds of winning the online casino game of Roulette. There have been studies conducted in order to break the odds of winning. Roulette has become a widely accepted and well known game and symbol of high-class casino gambling.
