Roulette was invented by a French mathematician named Blaise Pascal. Gamblers know Pascal as the inventor of roulette, but he is most well known for developing the theory of probability. Blaise was born in 1623 in Clermont, France. When he was 16 years old, Blaise came up with a theory for projecting numbers that impressed all the leading mathematicians of Paris. Blaise was not only a mathematician but he was also an inventor.

Did you know that Roulette is the oldest casino game in the world? Yes, in fact the oldest roulette was actually created in France back in the 18th century. In the 17th century, it was Blaise Pascal who introduced roulette in his search for perpetual motion machine. Today’s game of roulette has been played since 1796 in Paris.
The word roulette is actually a casino game which literally mean as “little wheel”. Players can choose to bet on either a single or multiple numbers, odd or even numbers, or the colors black and red. Wherever the ball landed, that is the winning color or number. Read the full post
